West Bengal SIR: Supreme Court allows deployment of civil judges; says bring judicial officers fromoutside if needed

rite your text here...The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered that the Calcutta High Court can also deploy civil judges with experience of at least three years for expediting the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in West Bengal.

Observing that there was a trust deficit between the Election Commission of India (ECI) and West Bengal government, the Court on February 20 had ordered deployment of district judges and additional district judges, including the retired judges, for smooth conduct of the SIR.
